H2O post studio update, announce 20th anniversary shows

New York hardcore veterans H2O are getting closer to completing work on their upcoming sixth studio album. A few days ago frontman Toby Morse posted an image on his Instagram page of drummer Todd Friend with the caption “March 23rd 2015. Drums for 13 new H2O songs completed by Todd. Next Up: Bass.” There’s still no details surrounding the album yet, but we’ll keep you posted as information becomes available.

In addition to recording a new album, the band has revealed they will be playing three shows in celebration of their 20th anniversary. On May 6, May 7, and May 8 the band will be playing through their discography (two albums per-night) at St. Vitus in Brooklyn, NY. The order they’ll be playing the albums has not been announced yet, but you can check out a flyer for the shows below.

H2O last released an album of cover songs entitled Don’t Forget Your Roots in 2011 through Bridge Nine Records. Their last album containing all-new material Nothing to Prove was released in 2008.
