Rancid singer/guitarist Tim Armstrong will be joining the large ensemble cast for underground writer/director Michael Cuenca’s “I’ll Be Around”. Armstrong wil be playing ‘Drew’, a bouncer for the principle music venue featured in the film.
The film follows a group of bands, fans, hopefuls, struggling creatives and wanderers who are connected through a series of events over the course of a day at a small post-punk music festival. It’s based on Cuenca’s own experiences as a musician as well as his journey as a guerrilla filmmaker.
Directed by Michael Cuenca, the film is being independently produced via a Seed & Spark campaign and it is sponsored by The Film Collaborative, the first non-profit committed to distribution, education, and facilitation of independent film.
It is not the first time Tim has tried his hand at acting, he made a guest appearance in an episode of The X-Files last year.
