We don’t say this very often, but when we do, we mean it. This is hands-down going to be the best thing you see on the internet this week. Take that to the bank.

SoCal six-year-old Tanner Fryman recently performed a cover of the traditional American folk song “In The Pines.” You probably know it by its more popularized name, “Where Did You Sleep Last Night?” which famously appeared on Nirvana‘s legendary MTV Unplugged set. (Their version was, itself, a cover of Lead Belly’s song of the same name). Check it out below.

Tanner’s performance appeared in a recital put on by The Music Factory (run by Danny Thompson, drummer for Face To Face) in Orange County.  You may Tanner from his previous cover, Social Distortion’s “Ball And Chain.” If not, check it out here. Nice work, kiddo!

Lead Belly’s rendition of “Into The Pines” was recorded sometime between 1944 and 1948. Nirvana’s “Where Did You Sleep Last Night” was, obviously, recorded in 1993.
