Longtime Boston-area music vet Rick Barton, perhaps best known for his role as founding guitarist of both Dropkick Murphys and The Outlets and fronting Continental (a band that also features his son Stephen on bass), has now dipped his toe into the world of the solo artist!
Due out November 17th, Barton’s debut solo record is entitled Nowhere Man, and it features his trademark baritone croon weaving its way through a dozen tales of a life spent on the road, wandering and searching and finding connection in lonely places. The album is available for pre-order now on Barton’s Bandcamp page, and it gets you access to a couple of tracks – “The Ballad of Fort Worth” and “The Man From Nowhere” as a way to whet your appetite. Check it out!
