Alkaline Trio announce new album “My Shame is True,” stream new single

Los Angeles punk rock band Alkaline Trio have announced the release of a new record, “My Shame is True” on April 2nd, 2013. Recorded by Bill Stevenson of The Descendents and Black Flag, this album is said to embrace the band’s classic sound while showcasing their new musical terrain and ability.

Here’s what lead singer, Matt Skiba, had to say:

We’re very proud of it. Once we got into the studio, the songs really took on a shape of their own.” Skiba continues, “It’s never been about being rich or famous. We always wanted to have the band be our career… to have that longevity… that should be the goal.  We are going to do it until it stops being fun. If it ever feels like a job, why would you be involved in the arts at all? We have the right chemistry as a band and with crowds, big or small. We have community within a community.

Their new single “I Wanna Be A Warhol” is streaming in full here.
