Suicidal Tendencies rumored to be joined permanently by Dave Lombardo, South American tour in the works

Rumors are circulating that former Slayer drummer Dave Lombardo is now a permanent member of Suicidal Tendencies.

As you may recall, Lombardo joined the band last February on their U.S. tour with Megadeth, and will be back behind the drum kit on their upcoming European tour, which kicks off next month. Sources are now reporting that Lombardo is going to join Suicidal once more on their summer South American tour, which includes one show in São Paulo on July 2nd, with more dates to be announced; this leads to speculation that Lombardo is a permanent member of the band.

Suicidal Tendencies have yet to address the rumors whether drummer Eric Moore (whom Lombardo had replaced on their recent tours) is still a member of the band. Despite his absence from touring, Moore recently teamed up with Suicidal guitarist Nico Santora on the metal side project Lillake, who have an album in the works and just released three new songs (“Killing Game“, “How Becoming“, and “Become“). We’ll keep you posted as more details on Moore or Lombardo’s status in Suicidal come to light.

Suicidal Tendencies recently announced plans to release a new EP and full-length later this year. Their most recent studio album 13 was released in 2013.
