Bigwig recording new album in July, announce North American tour with Brutal Youth and The Penske File

New Jersey punks Bigwig have announced North American tour dates with Brutal Youth and The Penske File. Bigwig will be celebrating the 20th anniversary of their “Unmerry Melodies” release. To commemorate this special occasion, they will be welcoming back their original guitarists,  Josh Farrel and Zach Lorinc on stage.  The band will be playing a string of club shows and big name festivals such as Quebec’s Rockfest and Gainesville’s Fest 14.

Bigwig fans will be pleased to know that more tour dates will be announced soon and they will be hitting the studio in July.  Bigwig’s latest album Reclamation was released in 2006 through Fearless Records. More recently, they released their album “Stay Asleep” on vinyl last year. Brutal Youth released their latest EP “Bottoming Out” on February 24th through Paper + Plastick. The Penske File’s new album Burn Into The Earth released on June 2 in Canada through Stomp Records and pre-orders are up for vinyl through A-F Records, which puts the US release on Aug. 11.
