Punk Aid announces details/call for submissions for fourth fundraiser album, “Autism Speaking”

Calling all punkers!

Details have been announced for the fourth installment in the “Punk Aid” release series. Entitled “Punk Aid 4: Autism Speaking,” this project is raising funds to benefit the Autism Science Foundation, a non-profit aimed at researching autism without focusing funds on the “link” between vaccination and autism. The project is currently seeking submissions for what is sure to be a massive compilation. “All punk genres” are welcome; click here for info on how to submit your band’s music!

The original Punk Aid compilation, “Aceh Calling,” featured 72 bands and benefitted the persecuted punks in Banda Aceh, Indonesia. 2013’s edition, “Boston/OKC Strong” featured 117 bands and was initially put together after the Boston Marathon bombings, but later grew to include victims of the Oklahoma City tornado. Last year’s benefit for no-kill animal shelters featured tracks from 104 bands in just about every punk sub-genre you can think of. Info on both of those releases is still available here.
