Neck Bio:

Taking their lead, both musically & ideologically, from two other mighty London rebel bands - The Pogues and The Clash - NECK 'carry the torch' a stage further with their own, unique London-Irish brew of wild, swirling Traditional Irish music & raucous, full-on Punk Rock : rip-roaring, irrepressible 'Psycho-Ceilídh!'

Led by the authentic, passionate voice of Leeson O'Keeffe, an original member of Shane MacGowan's Popes (& some-time Alabama 3 banjo-ist AND Hayseed Dixie collaborator), NECK are contemporaries (& friends) of The Dropkick Murphys & Flogging Molly.

Over nine years furious global gigging has seen Neck's irrepressible, uplifting live show establish them as International Festival favourites from Moscow (in front of 8,000) to Texas & all points in-between. Notching-up eight U.S. Trips (including SXSW & headlining the 2nd biggest Irish Festival - Dublin, Ohio) & countless European & UK ones, they headline at small festivals (i.e. Riverside, Workhouse, Golowan - UK; Zomerpop, NL; Brintaal, Italy; Oulu, Finland - all 2009) & 2nd & 3rd stages of larger ones (i.e. Trowbridge, UK; Paas Pop, NL; Punk & Disorderly, Berlin). Amongst numerous return bookings, they've encored at The Levellers' Beautiful Days & Solfest (both played twice now) & they've played both Glastonbury & Rebellion six times!

They've played all corners of the UK & Ireland at festivals, universities, circuit venues & even private parties - the last two being, respectively, at a Hell's Angel's Club House & Shakespeare's Globe Theatre!

As well as playing numerous radio sessions worldwide, their defiant, uplifting music can be heard on the movie soundtracks to The Emerald Diamond & Bean Town. They even appear performing two songs in the Belfast-set / Michael Winterbottom directed movie With or Without You.

NECK have released 2 studio albums previously, and their 2006 anti-racism single, Everybody’s Welcome To The Hooley! charted in the UK National charts & Indie Top 20. Now, their début album for Golf Records Come out Fighting! is available worldwide (March 9th in North America on Abstract Sounds / March 19th in Europe). Produced by the legendary ex-Vibrator Pat Collier, it's a muscular, lean, musical hay-maker that can stand it's ground & slug it out with the best of 'em!

It's being supported with a full marketing campaign in the UK, Europe & the USA - already receiving universally glowing reviews, thus far!
