In response to the conviction of Russian feminist punks Pussy Riot, Anti-Flag and Adam Vass (bassist of La Dispute) have teamed up to release a special edition poster and t-shirt to benefit the members.  Adam Vass and Anti-Flag made comments:

“When I first found out about the persecution of Pussy Riot, I was shocked that such a thing could exist in our world. Most of my friends and I have similar attitudes as the defendants, but I’ve never had to worry about being jailed for the idea. I immediately wanted to do whatever I could to help. With the help of the guys in Anti-Flag, we’ve come up with something I can be proud of as an artist and that can help people who need it right now.” –Adam Vass

“The women of Pussy Riot have put a face, a sound and a voice to the struggle for human rights in Russia. But their work is much more than that. They have put fear in to the power structure of their country, and the support they’ve received globally has done the same. It is our duty to keep their agenda and their welfare a part of the public discourse. As prisoners of conscience the story of Pussy Riot is only a victory if the story is being told.

With these shirts we hope to keep their story alive. Wear one to school, to the dinner table at home, even make your own Pussy Riot shirt, stencil their logo and name everywhere… Make people question who are Pussy Riot and provide them with the answer: anyone who stands up for what they believe.” – Anti-Flag
