Bad Religion’s Jay Bentley addresses issue on Greg Hetson

After reporting a week ago on what’s going on with Bad Religion and their guitarist Greg Hetson, who did not play with them at this year’s Groezrock Festival in Belgium where they played as a four piece, bassist Jay Bentley just issued a statement on the forums of The Bad Religion Page, revealing that the reason Hetson has been absent from the band is because of “personal issues”. He wrote:

“Greg Hetson is dealing with some personal issues, if he wishes to make a statement we will support that, if he chooses not to we will support that. Mike Dimkich is indeed helping us out right now, and we are genuinely appreciative. Right now we are just looking forward and getting ready to play our shows.”

Bad Religion’s latest album, True North, was released last January of this year on Epitaph Records.
