Billie Joe says Green Day plans to “take a break” after upcoming Australian tour

Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong recently stated in an interview with BBC Radio 2 that the infamous pop-punk band plans to “take a break” following their upcoming run of Australian tour dates on the Soundwave Festival:

“We’re going to Australia, doing a tour there and then we’re going to take a break. We haven’t really been doing much. So it’s just nice to kind of do some other things, y’know, when we get ready to do Green Day again, our batteries will be charged.”

Could Green Day be going on hiatus? We’ll be sure to keep you posted as more details come to light! For now, see when and where the band will be playing on their Australian tour below.

Green Day last released a trilogy of albums entitled ¡Uno!¡Dos! and ¡Tré! late last year on Reprise Records. Billie Joe recently put out an Everly Brothers cover album called “Foreverly,” which can be streamed right here.
