Bill Stevenson has revealed that the Descendents have begun recording new material for their long-awaited new album, which is likely due for release next year. However, he said that there is no direction that the band is aiming for, explaining:
“We don’t plan things out that way. We’re four songwriters. Everybody brings in their best songs. We play them in such a way that excites us and that’s the way you have it.”
The new Descendents record will be the band’s first since 2004’s Cool to Be You.
