DS Exclusive: Lay It On The Line (Melodic Hardcore) stream new single “Level Up”

London based melodic hardcore quintet Lay It On The Line have signed to long running UK punk label Disconnect, Disconnect Records for the release of their debut full length, “The Black Museum”, which is scheduled for a late May release. The album is the follow up to 2015’s EP “A Prelude To The Process“.

Ahead of that, the band release the debut single from the album, “Level Up”, on March 31st – the first song to feature the band’s heavily changed lineup and new vocalist Alice Hour.

Here at DS we are streaming the song exclusively. Have a listen below.

Alice from the band on “Level Up”:
“So my original inspiration for ‘Level Up’ was substance addiction/dependence/abuse and I wrote some lyrics I thought went really well with the song structure we had. The awesome thing was that when me and Mike came together it turned out he’d written lyrics on exactly the same thing – he wrote about getting over his drinking issues, so the whole thing came together really quickly and easily. It’s a real honest track and it’s great it’s the first thing people get to hear from this new line up.”

The rest of the band’s back catalogue is available for free/donation now from their Bandcamp.
