If you live in Austin, Texas, and can only make it to one show in 2011, you might want to seriously consider going to the Fat Wreck Chords SXSW showcase. The showcase will be held at The Scoot Inn on Friday, March 18th, at 8pm, and will feature Screeching Weasel, The Flatliners, Dead To Me, Banner Pilot and opening act The Biters.
If that wasn’t reason enough to attend, when that part of the showcase wraps up, Fat Wreck Chords plans to turn down the volume with acoustic performances by Joey Cape of Lagwagon and Dave Hause of The Loved Ones. There have also been hints of a possible on-stage collaboration.
So if you live in Texas, this is one show not to be missed. If you don’t, you can always hope to catch glimpses on Youtube the next morning.
