Green Day to release three-album trilogy beginning late this year

Finally an update from Green Day that doesn’t include pointless studio teasers.

According to frontman Bille Joe Armstrong’s official Twitter page, the band are set to release a three-album trilogy beginning later this year. Here’s the details:

@BJAofficial: Ok. Here’s the deal. We’re making a 3 album trilogy. Not 1. Not 2. But 3 albums. Called ¡UNO! ¡DOS! ¡TRE! Coming September November January

Green Day’s last release was 2009’s “21st Century Breakdown.”
