Guttermouth have their van robbed; GoFundMe page launched

Every time I start thinking to myself that “Hey! We haven’t had to write a story about a band getting their gear stolen in a while!” — we inevitably have to write a story about a band getting their gear stolen. It sucks each and every time we have to do it, whether the band is young or old or in-between. Last night, it happened to one of the scene’s longest running groups of road dogs: Guttermouth.

The incident happened last night in Houston, Texas, just four days into the band’s month-long tour (dates here) with The Queers, Atom Age, and Agent Orange. Windows in the band’s van got smashed, and the majority of the van’s contents subsequently got stolen from out behind the venue they were playing at. What got stolen? By the sounds of it…damn near everything: gear, computers, clothes, and basically everything they brought on the road. The band contemplated throwing in the towel on the tour, but has decided to forge ahead.

As a result of the night’s episode, a GoFundMe page has been started to help the band recoup some of their losses. Go to the page here, and maybe go to a show and buy some merch. Every little bit helps.
