Boston’s punk/ska outfit Have Nots have signed to Paper + Plastick Records. To commemorate the signing the label is giving away the band’s newest album Serf City USA for free right here. FYI – this album is awesome.
Here’s the official announcement from P+P:
Paper + Plastick is proud to welcome Boston’s HAVE NOTS to the P+P family. Formed out of the ashes of Stray Bullets and Chicago Typewriter (two Boston punk mainstays), HAVE NOTS are a hard working band punk rock band that’s rigorous touring schedule has seen them perform 150 shows in 2009 alone, sharing the stage with legends like The Dropkick Murphys and The Mighty Mighty Bosstones.
Today not only is the official announcement of our partnership with the band, it is also the first day that we will be giving away their album “Serf City USA”for ABSOLUTELY FREE in the webstore! Free! While the dual singer/guitarists may sound like they want to jam a stick of dynamite down your throat (they do), members Jon Cauztik and Matt Pruitt also want you to listen, and think, about what goes on in the world around you. The rhythm section of Jameson Hollis on bass and Steve Patton on the drums is really just there to make you dance to their solid ragga punk foundation…and dance you will. Download, listen, and enjoy!
