Last August, we reported that AFI were on back on hiatus, due to members focusing on other projects. However, bassist Hunter Burgan revealed that the band is planning to do something next year, which could involve a new album or just some shows. He states:
“I know that many of you want to know what’s up with AFI. I can’t tell you much at the moment, but we have plans for 2016. Circle that year on your calendars.”
We’ll keep you posted as more details on the future of AFI come to light. The band has gone on hiatus before, most notably back in 2011 when fans believed that they were actually breaking up, which proved untrue. AFI ended their hiatus in 2013, and released Burials, their first album in four years, that October.
