Italian pop-punk act Biffers have signed to Kung Fu Records with plans to re-release their awesome 2013 debut album Whoa! on August 5th, with European tours following shortly after. Here’s what label owner Joe Escalante had to say about signing the band:
“They posted an amazing song right on our page. They made it very easy for us. Biffers are one of those bands, like the Ramones, with the ability to break down a genre, and build it back up again with an innocence and simplicity that was somehow lost along the way as others in the field have taken punk rock for granted. The result is a happy re-interpretation of punk rock where each song hits you like a shot of Galliano, which by no coincidence is distilled and bottled in Biffers’ hometown. This album is a drinking game waiting to happen!”
Trust me, Joe’s not bullshitting you when he says this band’s great. If you haven’t heard Whoa! already, listen to it below and be sure to pick it up on vinyl or whatever Kung Fu releases it on in August.
