Well this is fun. I think I would have given my left nut to be at this show. At a rare House of Blues appearance in Cleveland last night Green Day celebrated their 25th anniversary and their induction into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame with a three hour performance which included a guest appearance from none other than Rancid‘s Tim Armstrong. Tim joined the band on stage for a cover of Operation Ivy’s “Knowledge” (Tim, of course was also a member of Operation Ivy, back when he was known simply as “Lint”) which then segued into a cover of Rancid’s “Radio”. Fun fact: Tim and Billie Joe wrote “Radio” together 20 years ago).
