“Punk Aid 3: Hope For The Helpless” project to support kill-free shelters launches, seeks submissions

Calling all punkers!

Details have been announced for the third annual “Punk Aid” release. Entitled “Punk Aid 3: Hope For The Helpless,” the project will benefit cage free/no-kill animal shelters. The project is currently seeking submissions for what is sure to be a massive compilation. “All punk genres” are welcome; click here for info on how to submit your band’s music.

The original Punk Aid compilation, “Aceh Calling,” featured 72 bands and benefitted the persecuted punks in Banda Aceh, Indonesia. Last year’s edition, “Boston/OKC Strong” featured 117 bands and was initially put together after the Boston Marathon bombings, but later grew to include victims of the Oklahoma City tornado. Info on both of those releases is still available at the link above.
