The Queers kick bassist Dangerous Dave off stage during San Diego show

During their show at the Northpark Theater in San Diego a few nights ago, The Queers had to literally kick (or I guess you could say shove) their bassist Dangerous Dave off stage after he went on what seemed to be a drunken rampage aimed at destroying the band’s drum kit.

Someone was nice enough to post a video, so you can check that out below (the action starts around the 5:07 mark).

Frontman Joe Queer was quick to dispel any rumors of Dave and The Queers parting ways, posting the following on the band’s Facebook yesterday:

Hey, everyone fucks up. Dangerous Dave will ride again. He just needs a little timeout haha! He apologized so we’re just going to move on. We’re not pulling a Screeching Weasel at SXSW thing where everyone threw Ben under the bus – even a lot of his so-called friends. Friends fuck up and you don’t always agree with what they say or do but they’re still your friends. At least in my book.

The Queers just wrapped up a summer tour with Screeching Weasel and the Mr. T Experience, and they will be announcing another round of shows sometime soon. The band recently released a fully re-recorded version of 2000’s Beyond the Valley… and they plan to do the same with 1998’s Punk Rock Confidential.
