The Replacements debut new song “Whole Foods Blues”

Nearly two weeks ago, The Replacements debuted a new song called “Whole Foods Blues” at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles, California. The band’s co-manager Darren Hill has said that The Replacements have “laid down seven or eight” songs for a new record, which will be their first since 1990’s All Shook Down. He stated:

“It just a question of what the band wants to ultimately do with them. It’s really difficult to shift modes, but the good news is that the band is really gelling, and that’s got to translate when they go back in to the studio.”

You can watch a YouTube video of The Replacements performing the new song below.

We’ll keep you posted as more details on new material from The Replacements come to light. The band, who was defunct from 1991 to 2012, last released the covers EP Songs for Slim in 2013, which was made to help pay medical bills for their former guitarist Slim Dunlap.
