UK folk-punk act The Roughneck Riot recently finished recording their new full-length album and it should be out in June through Bomber Music. Here’s where I’d try to give you some sort of poorly worded description of their sound but I think their own bio does a much more accurate job:
Influenced by traditional Folk music from around the world, we are reinventing and rewriting Folk music to make sense to our lives today. We write music for people, regardless of race, nationality, age, gender or sexuality. In a country with a government trying to destroy it, and a music industry run by money hungry people who couldn’t care less about musicians, we are here as a voice amongst many in the scene ready to be heard. We are here to play Folk Punk music. From nowhere & everywhere.
