Alkaline Trio are giving us the first taste of their upcoming release “Damnesia” in the form of the stripped down, acoustic version of “Clavicle” (the original, “plugged-in” version appeared on the band’s 1998 hit album “Goddamnit”). You can check out the new version of the song on the band’s MySpace page and if you want to compare it to the original, you can listen to that right right here.
“Damnesia” will feature a selection of fan favorites played semi-unplugged, and the album will also feature two brand new songs. “Olde English 800″ and “I Remember A Rooftop” will join a cover of the Violent Femmes’ “I Held Her In My Arms” as the only completely original content on the record. The album will be released July 12th on the band’s own label Heart & Skull Records.
