SoCal metal/punk rockers Avenged Sevenfold will be heading to the studio next month, according to a recent interview vocalist M. Shadow did with NME.
“This album’s a little more groove orientated,” he said. “There’s a little bit more groove to it, a little bit more focused on bigger riffs. So that’s where it’s headed – every song has gotta have a huge riff and every song has to have a groove to it.”
The band recently contributed a new song called “Carry On” to the soundtrack for the newest Call of Duty video game, Black Ops II. Their most recent studio album, Nightmare, came out in 2010 on Warner Brothers.
