If you read the interview we did a few weeks ago with Lagwagon-frontman-gone-solo-artist, Joey Cape, you know that it’s not likely we’ll be seeing a new Lagwagon album anytime soon. Cape has been focusing more on his solo, acoustic stuff as of late but for those who enjoy his louder, faster musical endeavors this news may bring a smile to your face.
It looks like Joey Cape has formed a new band called Joey Cape’s Bad Loud and they’ve just wrapped up recording a full-length album made up of mostly songs from his solo albums “Bridge” and “Doesn’t Play Well With Others.” It was produced by Bill Stevenson and Andrew Berlin, in which both of them have produced for bands such as Rise Against to Descendents, The record was also mixed by Jason Livermore from Blasting Room Studios. Since this is a band it is unlikely that Joey will release this one directly through his website. They’re currently speaking to various labels for the upcoming release. We’ll see. DS will keep you posted.
In other Joey Cape news, he is releasing his recent “Doesn’t Play Well With Others” album on CD and vinyl on June 1st. Pre-orders are available here.
