The Mighty Mighty BossToneS annouce dates, theme for 2019 HomeTown ThrowDown

I’m not sure how Christmas is right around the proverbial corner all of a sudden. Doesn’t seem right. BUT to help make that a little more palatable, the legendary Mighty Mighty BossToneS have announced preliminary info surrounding this year’s HomeTown ThrowDown!

This year’s festivities are taking place the weekend after Christmas – December 27-29, to be precise – at their longtime home, Boston’s House Of Blues. The theme of this year’s ThrowDown is “It’s A Plaid Plaid Plaid Plaid World,” though we’re still curious as to what that might mean. Here’s what iconic frontman Dicky Barrett had to say: “This year, on the 30th anniversary of our very first album, myself and the other Plaid Boys of Boston are returning to our tartan root. Expect all the warmth and wonder this holiday tradition has always delivered. Please join us we will not disappoint!” Any thoughts on what tricks the fellas might have up their collective sleeves?

Stay tuned for ticket info, opening acts, and more ThrowDown coverage as it becomes available!

The Mighty Mighty BossToneS’ latest release, While We’re At It, came out last year on the band’s own Big Rig Records, which also just released the new album from BossTones bassist Joe Gittleman’s “side project” Avoid One Thing earlier this month!
