Formed in 1988 from the ashes of Gilman legends Crimpshrine, Fifteen embarked on their first tour in the summer of 1989, and recorded their debut EP in April 1990 for Lookout! Records. Fifteen went on their first US tour in the summer of 1990, playing shows with Filth & Fugazi. Notable for their lyrical content and staunch political beliefs, Fifteen, particularly Ott, addressed issues such as environmentalism, pacifism, homelessness, drug addiction, child abuse, racism and sexism through their music. The group broke up in 2000 after accumulating a revolving total of fifteen members during their 11-year history.
