For those of you who haven't heard DEA yet, it may just be due to an unfortunate sign of the hardcore times. The band consists of members who have grown up listening to and supporting the classic sound and message that has given way to scores of bands who "make it" because they have the frills and look of a new and meaningless hardcore trend.
Think Fast! Records co-owner Ryan O'Connor comments "DEA brings me back to bands like Gorilla Biscuits and Judge, and even modern youth crew inspired bands like Have Heart. It's refreshing to hear this sound being pulled off properly in 2009 and we're looking forward to our relationship with DEA."
Forming in 2008, DEA quickly built a following in the local Tallahassee scene. They recorded a seven song demo and later went on to release a digital EP via the up and coming Get Outta Town Records.
