The Groundbreaking Ceremony Bio:
Break out your golden shovel and red ribbon; The Groundbreaking Ceremony has tilled the soil across the state of Pennsylvania since 2008.
The State College-based pop-punk quartet - who have drawn comparisons to All Time Low, New Found Glory, and Mayday Parade - earned themselves a spot on the Ernie Ball Stage of the 2010 Vans Warped Tour and spent the summer promoting their new EP, “I Can’t Believe It’s Not Better!” The 6-track EP was produced by Doug White, who is most recognized as the producer behind Gym Class Heroes’ mainstream breakout record "As Cruel As School Children" (with the platinum song Cupid’s Chokehold).
Between playing shows with the likes of Senses Fail, The Ataris, Allister, Man Overboard, Just Surrender, Rocky Loves Emily, and For the Foxes, the boys found time to go back into the studio in early 2011 to record their follow-up to "Better," working with producer John Naclerio (My Chemical Romance, Brand New, Senses Fail). The GBC spent June, July, and August on the 2011 Vans Warped Tour, spending their time playing the Kia Kevin Says Stage and the Ernie Ball Stage, as well as meeting fans at their merch tent, in the lines, and throughout the venue. They'll be releasing two new singles - "Don't Be A Dream" and "The Burden Of Goodbye" - on August 30th, 2011.
Giant novelty scissors aside, The Groundbreaking Ceremony has already laid a solid foundation for the future. Make sure to pick up their new music when it drops at the end of August, and keep an eye out for touring news!
