I Voted For Kodos Bio:
I Voted For Kodos recently released their second full-length album on Snapdragon Records (US) and Kick Rock Music (Japan). The album was recorded at Gravity Studios in Chicago with producers Sean O’Keefe (Fall Out Boy, Motion City Soundtrack, Hawthorne Heights) and Manny Sanchez (Smashing Pumpkins, Rod Stewart). The album, titled My New Obsession, is full of “memorable hooks, sing-a-long choruses, and keyboard driven melodies” according to absolutepunk.net. The new songs represent a drastic shift in style for the band drawing heavily from the pop-punk and emo genres while still keeping a pop sensibility. The addition of an analog synthesizer has helped to add melody while also giving the band a unique sound that sets them apart from the majority of pop-punk/emo bands on the scene. The album was recently picked as a featured album by interpunk.com and songs from the album have been featured on compilations with bands such as Fall Out Boy, Rise Against, Hawthorne Heights, The Starting Line, Ben Kweller, Allister, Badly Drawn Boy, Silverstein, Count The Stars and Less Than Jake.
