Rival Town Bio:
Rival Town is a six piece pop punk band from Thunder Bay Ontario, Canada. They deliver a high energy "in your face" sound accompanied by a fun over-the-top live show. They are often compared to a blend between Real Friends and Yellowcard, but still somehow find a sound that is truly their own. With all the members growing up in the heyday of pop punk music, they know their sound and they understand their audience.
The band started in the spring of 2015. Devon Forbes and Bryce Smith immediately had a musical connection after playing a Sum 41 cover show together. They both had a clear vision of what they wanted from a band. Soon after they recruited the rest of the members which would eventually form the band. The hidden treasure in Rival Town is modest lead singer Cary Hanson. He finds a way to resonate his vocals with the listener. The keyboard section of the band adds a dynamic rarely found in pop punk music.
Rival Town is the type of band you would love to see any night of the week. It is their philosophy that if you were paying to see a rock show, you're going to get your money's worth. They want you to leave the venue feeling like you saw a stadium concert.
Later in 2015, Rival Town signed to New York based record label, Manic Kat Records. With an EP under their belt and a new full album on the way, you can expect to see a very big year for the band
