Small Town Riot Bio:
It all started out in 1999 in Buxtehude, a suburban town south of Hamburg Germany, SMALL TOWN RIOT has been working hard to earn their status as one of the finest streetpunk bands in northern Germany, and the whole country.
The sound of Small Town Riot is punk rock straight from the heart: catchy melodies, dirty streetpunk and sing along vocals combined by great instrumentalists to produce high quality punk’n’roll songs, proving that Small Town Riot are on the same level as bigger bands in the punk scene.
Their DIY recorded and produced demo “DEMOlition“, released in 2002, already got great feedback from local and national press and audiences alike. Entering the studio in 2003, for their first full length album “Some Serious Shit“ which was released a year later, followed by constant touring, and sharing the stage with bands like, Sick of it All, The Movement, Peter Pan Speedrock and Deadline (UK). Small Town Riot has also played major festivals such as Punk & Disorderly, Force Attack, and others.
After releasing the “Skulls & Stripes“ EP, and various tracks on compilations like “Let the Bombs Fall“. Small Town Riot’s second full length album “Selftitled“ hit the record stores in 2008, and received top positions in album rankings in German punk rock magazines like, Ox-Fanzine, Wahrschauer, Plastic Bomb and Moloko Plus.
The boys are currently working on their third, yet untitled album, which is going to be released July 2nd, 2010, and produced by David Bonk and mastered by Christian Linke from the Band PANIK.
