Violent Affair Bio:

In the summer of 2007, Violent Affair started with Grant on guitar, Dave on bass, Robby on vocals and Adam on drums. We played a couple shows together with bands such as Monster Squad and SS-Kaliert. After a few months, Adam was replaced by Bran. This line up played together for almost a year until Robby and Bran moved on to different things.

In the summer of 2008, Dave moved to vocals, our friend Tanner was on bass and our other friend Ryan became our drummer. This line up was basically the beginning of the band today. We recorded the "Armageddon" EP in the winter of 2008/2009. In February of 2009, Jesse became our second guitarist. "Armageddon" was released on June 23, 2009, the next day we got an E-mail from Razorblade Music from Germany asking us to sign to their label...we did. In July of 2009, Violent Affair went on a mini-Midwest tour with our good friends The Brutal Dildos from Milwaukee. In August of 2009, Kids Union Records from China got in touch with us about getting on their label as well for Asian support. Later that same month, Tanner had to leave V/A and was replaced by our good friend Zach, our bassist today.

With Ryan on Drums, Zach on bass, Dave on vocals and Grant and Jesse on guitar, the band thrived in Oklahoma City. We started recording at Armstrong Recording Studio in Tulsa, OK for "Stand Trial" in September of 2009. We wrote 8-9 new songs but only seven new ones made it on the full length. We finally finished recording in February of 2010. Razorblade mixed and mastered the CD as Grant created the album artwork. Exactly one year after "Armageddon" was released; on June 23, 2010 "Stand Trial" was released on Razorblade-Music and Charged Noise Music, which was created by Grant and the operator of Charged Noise Booking in California.

In July of 2010, Violent Affair went on the road with our good friends The Dirty Mugs for two weeks, hitting states from Texas to California back up to Idaho to Denver and all the states in-between. With horrible van troubles and lack of funds, we finally made it home after having the best two weeks of our lives. We came back home with no money, sold out of merchandise and being "road" sick, the same as being homesick but with being on the road.

In October of 2010, Unrepentant Records picked us up for some US support; "Stand Trial" will be released on their label later in 2010. "Stand Trial" will be released October 20, 2010 on Razorblade-Music for all of our European friends. In of August of 2011, Grant, our long time friend, left the band due to personal matters and our good friend from Tulsa, Dom, has filled his spot.

With the lineup today as Dave on vocals, Jesse and Dom on guitar, Ryan on drums, and Zach on bass. Violent Affair is working on coming to your town, putting out new music, and working towards a better scene.

That is it for now, don't be shy to hit us up on Myspace, Facebook, or on our Punkrockers account. You can get in contact with our booking agents, send us actual mail or contact the webmaster (Grant) on the Contact page.

stay punk and stay pissed!
