The Waffle Stompers Bio:
Post-Ska band The Waffle Stompers comes from the New Jersey music scene with the intent to create great music and put on an explosive live show for the rest of forever. Forever hasn’t necessarily happened yet, but the past years have shown signs that they may actually have the balls to achieve that goal.
Consisting of 6 members, the group has taken from a wide spectrum of influences to inspire a... style of music that is both unique and refreshingly honest. Their intricate horn and vocal arrangements reflect their hard work and devotion, while the rhythm section blends the in-your-face feel of rock and roll with the electricity of punk rock and ska. Each live show reflects their belief that heart and energy are the foundation of a musical community. Ask any fan or friend of the band; they’ll tell you who brings it every single night.
In the past few years, the band’s incredible focus has gotten them on the Vans Warped Tour and Get Heard Fest, and sharing the stage with bands like Reel Big Fish, The English Beat, RX Bandits, Catch 22, and Big D and the Kids Table as well as independently touring the East Coast and Midwest is support of their music. Their hard work caught the attention of New Jersey’s Danimal Records, and in an agreement that focuses on embracing their sound and grass roots promotion, The Waffle Stompers signed with the label. They will be releasing the first two singles, fan favorite ‘Serious’ and all new ‘Tired of It’ produced by John Collura (The Ataris) and Paul Carabello, on Feb 1, 2011.
Though many will pass over it, the message is there, and it’s clear: The Waffle Stompers put their hearts into everything they do, and they’ll never let go of the music. OR the dancing. The boys can dance.
