New Alliance Records was an independent label founded by American musicians D. Boon and Mike Watt of California punk band Minutemen in 1980. Inspired by Black Flag’s SST to create their own indie label to distribute their records, New Alliance was eventually sold to SST after Boon’s untimely death in 1987. Over the course of its existence, New Alliance released records by Descendents, Saccharine Trust, and Hüsker Dü.
