Album Review: Benny No-Good (The Enders) – “I Am You”

As the lead vocalist and guitarist for Indiana’s hardcore punk outfit The Enders, Benny No-Good hits hard and loud, but he went in a very different direction now with the release of “I Am You,” a solo acoustic project.

The 6-track album is a little bit Tony Sly in the melody of “Bloom” and a little bit Bryan McPherson in its raw, gritty sound. In the third track, “Children of the Gael,” I was reminded of a traditional Irish ballad. Drawing on many influences, the album has a little bit for any fan of singer-songwriter stuff, mixed with the attitude and point-of-view of a punk.

You can stream the entire album below, or you can throw Benny five bucks and take it with you.
