Ian Watkins (ex-Lostrophets) found guilty of child sex offenses, sentenced to 35 years in prison

According to recent reports, former Lostprophets frontman Ian Watkins has been sentenced to 35 years in prison after being found guilty of over a dozen sex offenses, including the sexual assault of a child under the age of 13, the attempted rape of an 11-month-old child, and the taking of indecent photographs of children.

The presiding judge said that during the trial Watkins showed “evident delight” in abusing children and “an almost complete lack of remorse.”

The judge also told him that, “You are a sexual predator. You are dangerous. The public, and in particular young females and children, need protection from you.”

In addition to Watkins’ sentencing, the two females he was being tried alongside, who still remain unnamed, were also sentenced to serve 14 years and 17 years in prison, respectively.

Justice has been served.
