If you dig aggressive punk rock bands fronted by female singers I’ve got a band you’re gonna want to add to your Radar. Rotterdam’s Bad Temper are just such a band complete with gang shouted choruses, whoa-ohs and face melting guitar solos. A decent amount of hardcore influences as well. Anyway, don’t take my word for it, stream their new album “Enemies For Good” in its entirety right here.
Add Bad Temper to My Radar

Sounds bad ass

What does the sex of the singer (or any of the band members) matter? Writing like that just helps alienate female musicians even further. This is nothing that the punk scene should be doing and I really thought Dying Scene was above that.
Really, you consider simply noting the fact that a band’s singer is a female to be alienating? I think you’re making this a bigger deal than it needs to be.
really liked it “enemies for good” is awesomeee
The vocals don’t do it for me. I don’t know if its her voice or the way it’s edited but it doesn’t feel like there’s enough punch behind her voice for my liking, it sounds sort of muffled. Far from bad though.
Jon you’re being a complete dumbass
that dude has got to be joking. For one, female vocals sound different. Should people stop caring about vocalist in general? Or should they not name the band members because it doesn’t matter? Congrats on being a huge dildo.
Thanks for introducing Bad Temper!
I guess sexism isn’t as big a debate where you come from as where I come from? I mean that in a non-offensive way – I mean all of it in a non-offensive way.
I can see that you think I’m overreacting but I think this is a very important issue. Sure, female singers often sound different than male, so that might be of interest. But consider this: how many of the bands/artists you listen to are female? Seeing as we’re 50/50 men/women on this planet then 50% of all bands and artists should be women, but we know that isn’t the case.
I recently read an article (in swedish, so I can’t post it) describing how a rock band got a female guitarist who could shred her guitar to bits but got treated like a child by sound engineers, record label people etc. They would show her where the volume knob was or give all the guys in the band beer and ask if she wanted soda. I can barely imagine what that’s like, not being taken seriously even though you would rock most people’s socks off. But unfortunately that’s the reality for most female musicians.
Sorry for the long post, but as I said I think this is an important issue. The punk community is about equality, about including everyone, so I think this is something Dying Scene (and all you other punks) want to think about. I’ve said this before but I’m eternally grateful for all the amazing work you put into your site.
I really dug the music though, really cool sound!
good young band out of band out of rotterdam they have plenty of time to grow if they stick with it and will be a good band for time to come just one thing rember they are a band not a girl band
