Manchester Punk Fest (UK) Announces Final Lineup and Day Splits

For as long as it’s existed the UK city of Manchester has been a barren wasteland absolutely devoid of musical talent and creativity. We bet you can’t think of a band of any genre, good or bad, from the dreary industrial metropolis….

Fortunately, a group of Manchester’s finest punk rock promoters put their heads together a few years ago and came up with Manchester Punk Festival. The event has quickly cemented itself into the hearts and minds of the UK scene and has become an absolute staple of the festival season.

The final lineup has been announced today and joining the likes of King Prawn, Not on Tour, and Subhumans will be Snuff, Martha, 88 Fingers Louie, and loads more listed below. You’ll also find all this year’s day splits, as well as information about a special party being thrown during the three day sozzle-a-thon.

There are still tickets available for the April 19-21 event from Manchester Punk Festival’s official website. You’ll also find all the other vital information about the shindig too. We can’t wait!

MPF 2019 New Lineup Additions:

Snuff, 88 fingers Louie, Martha, Authority Zero, Frankie Stubbs (Leatherface), Such Gold, Ancst, Sonic Boom Six, calvinball, Officer Down, Wadeye, Thanx 4 All The Shoes, F. Emasculata, Pijn, Skin of Tears, The Fuckin’ Glorious, Charmpit, Suggested Friends, The Affect Heuristic, Werecats, Pardon Us, Ill Gotten Gains, Speed Dinosaurs, Zero Negative, Misfortune Cookie, Fights And Fires, We Bless This Mess, James Choice & the Bad Decisions, Sonnet 13, Folk’s Worst Nightmare, Dog Hand String Band, and Boom Boom Racoon.

Manchester Punk Festival will also be hosting a Big Tone Recording Studios-themed after party on Friday 19 to pay tribute to Tim Gray who passed away last year. Performing will be good friends of friends the producer Sonic Boom Six (along with previously announced Harijan and Catch-it Kebabs). This will surely be a special part of this year’s event.

Unfortunately, the festival has also had to announce some sad news too. San Fran punks Dead To Me will no longer be performing at this year’s edition:

“We are very gutted but work schedules have dictated it’s not possible this year. Sorry! Don’t worry, we’ve got it covered.”

Anyway, here are the day splits for MPF 2019. Specific times will be announced closer to the event.
