Dying Scene has been stocking up on “whoa’s” to bring you Only on Weekends‘ new music video, “Always Greener”, a song about the woes of having a love life while playing in a rock and roll band. Noted for their cleverly entertaining videos, this one tells the age-old disaster story of what it’s like to date a musician.
Directed by Tim Matthews, “Always Greener” is an inward reflection about self-centeredness and neglecting those we cherish, and imparts a lesson to the wise of the value of communication. It’s a funny video, with a plot borrowed from every sitcom ever-made, (Boy Meets World and The Flinstones to name a few) portraying the juggling act of divided attention, which nearly always terminates poorly in assured self-sabotaging obsolescence.
This four-piece pop punk ensemble from Philly (by way of New Jersey) has been running their GMC Vandura up and down the east coast for the past several years and recently released a new full-length album, Another Wasted Night, which was recorded and produced by Jesse Cannon. (The Menzingers, Saves the Day, The Misfits) It is available for streaming and purchase here. Check out the video to “Always Greener” below.
