The Offspring’s self-released demo tape from 1986, entitled 5 Songs, was recently posted on YouTube, and you can give it a stream below.
5 Songs was recorded in May 1986, approximately two months before the six-song demo tape which surfaced online years ago, and includes three songs that never appeared on record (“Ballroom Blitz”, “Halloween” and “Call It Religion”) as well as earlier versions of “I’ll Be Waiting” (then-called “Fire and Ice”) and “Demons” (then-called “Prophecy”), later re-recorded in 1989 for The Offspring’s self-titled debut album.
The Offspring were recently in the studio recording their long-awaited follow-up to 2012’s Days Go By, which is expected to be released later this year or next year.
