No Use For A Name bassist recovering from surgery, tour canceled

Bass player Matt Riddle of the San Jose, California punk rock outfit No Use For A Name has been released from the hospital.  Singer and guitarist Tony Sly writes that requiring surgery after “some guy named Jamieson ruined his gall bladder,” Matt is recovering well but is still in extreme pain and will require post-operation attention in about a month. As a result, the band has no choice but to cancel their upcoming Almost 25th Anniversary tour through the United States.

In the meantime, the band will be working on their upcoming DVD and hoping to play their actual 25th Anniversary in 2012 while “narrowly escaping every single crumble of asphalt and dirt in a limo for an hour and a half only to end up on a bullshit ship piloted by John Travolta”.
