I’m sure you know by now that we here at the Dying Scene Corporate Office are big fans of Codefendants. Last year’s debut record, This Is Crime Wave, ended up on a number of our year-end best-of lists. Lest you think that the brainchild of Sam King, Ceschi Ramos and, of course, Fat Mike, was a one-and-done type of situation, the group has unveiled a brand new single, “Living Las Vegas.” The lead track features some of the King, Ramos and LA underground legend 2Mex chopping it up in a way that pushes their unique and relentless styles up a notch or three. It’s backed by another new track, “Counting Back From 13,” which might be my favorite Codefendants track yet? Maybe? I think it is…
