"Crooked Little Path" - Coffin Salesman

For our money, Boston’s Coffin Salesman has been one of the most unique and compelling acts in the game for a while now. The forever genre (and lineup) fluid project are back with a new EP called Crooked Little Path. Recorded in their “Gloom Trio” lineup – Aria Rad with Chris and Dayna Jackson, the release features one new track, and two reworked versions of pre-existing Coffin Salesman songs.

Here’s what Coffin Salesman brainchild Aria Rad had to say about the release:

In the winter of 2025, the Coffin Salesman “Gloom Trio” (as we like to affectionately call this incarnation) went to see our friend Jeff at his workplace, off hours, to record a live session video for a few songs.

When we first did a show with the woodwinds together I was enamored with the sound. It felt sort of regal, in a way I never imagined my songs could ever sound.

This collection has a new song that I performed solo, “Crooked Little Path”, as well as two reconfigured versions of already released songs, “Hammer Down” from the last record, and “Empty Pilot”.

We were recording late at night and I recommend listening to it late at night.
