Craig Stanton has been perhaps best known for being one-half of the songwriting duo behind Boston punk band Rebuilder for the last decade. The band has stayed busy releasing a handful of albums and playing myriad shows alongside peers like Choke Up and Ramona and Dead Bars and No Trigger and opening runs for the likes of Dropkick Murphys and Frank Turner and Streetlight Manifesto.

But the tail end of 2025 marks something a little different for Stanton. His new project, CG Stanton & The Powerful Stuff, finds his songwriting prowess at the front and center. It’s less of the traditional melody-infused punk of his day job and more heartland rock-infused alt-country. The album will be released on all digital platforms on October 8th – but we’ve heard from a little bird that if you order the vinyl version it may hit the US Postal Service earlier.
