Poole, England punk band The Mistakes have released a music video for the title track from their upcoming album A Good Hill To Die On. The sociopolitical street punk anthem takes aim at Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and the ensuing western slacktivism. Here’s what guitarist Shane Creech had to say about the track:
“We try to steer away from pushing our personal politics onto people, we’re more of a ‘We see the world this way, have you considered these things?’ kind of a band. Punk isn’t a stranger to songs about war for example, but I really wanted to go in for the recent atrocities in Ukraine. I didn’t want to dance around the issues with layered metaphors over five verses either. I think we make our point very quick and pretty hard without messing around.“
