Welcome to 2018, comrades! In case you were wondering, Bob's resolution for this new year is to tighten up his editing time frames so that we're not playing Christmas themed songs in January and Anarchopunk is pretty much perfect, so he has nothing to improve upon, thus no resolutions were established. We're really hoping that your new year's resolution was to listen to more punk news podcasts! If so, you're really gonna dig this one! In this installment, we're featuring a menagerie of international punk bands.  We've got French punks, British punks, South African punks, Canadian punks and we even sprinkled in some American punks with an interview from the Los Angeles based grouch punk act, Spanish Love Songs. 2000trees Festival has announced more bands for this year’s festival. The Chats, Nova Twins, Hot Milk, Turnover, Grandson, Spanish Love Songs, Death From Above 1979, Cassyette, Movements, Crawlers, As December Falls, Angel Du$t, Static Dress, Single Mothers, Panic Shack, and Knives are among the bands who will now be playing the festival. These bands join the previously announced lineup that includes The Gaslight Anthem, Manchester Orchestra, Problem Patterns, Gouge Away, Hot Mulligan, The Menstrual Cramps, and awakebutstillinbed. Spanish Love Songs have announced that they will be releasing a new EP. It is called Doom and Gloom Sessions and will be made up of covers including “Futures” by Jimmy Eat World, Rilo Kelly's “Portions for Foxes”, and “Now It’s On” by Graddaddy. It will be out on April 25 via Pure Noise Records. The band has also released their cover of “Smile Like You Mean It” by The Killers. Spanish Love Songs released their re-imagined album Brave Faces Everyone Etc. in 2022 and their original album Brave Faces Everyone in 2020. Check out the cover below.

Spanish Love Songs have announced that they will be releasing a new album. It is called No Joy and will be out on August 25 via Pure Noise Records. They have released a video for their new song “Haunted”. The video was filmed at The American Legion, Post 82, and was directed by Hannah Gray Hall. Spanish Love Songs will be touring Europe and the UK with Hot Mulligan this fall. The band released their EP Doom & Gloom Sessions earlier this year, their reworked album Brave Faces Etc. in 2022, and their album Brave Faces Everyone in 2020.
